Verse 102Visualization
Seeing the World as Illusion
Bhairava
This verse invites you to look at life as if it were a magic show. Things still appear, but you stop taking them as solid and fixed. That change of view can bring a surprising sense of ease.
इन्द्रजालमयं विश्वं व्यस्तं वा वचिकमधित् । भ्रमद्वा ध्यायत् सिं पश्यतश्च सुखोद्गम् ॥ १०२ ॥
indrajālamayaṃ viśvaṃ vyastaṃ vā vicikīrṣaṇāt | bhramad vā dhyāyan sarvaṃ paśyatas ca sukhodgamaḥ || 102 ||
Translation
The world is like an illusion or a magical show, scattered or whirling; by meditating on it in this way, for one who sees everything, there arises an increase of ease and joy.
Contemplate the world as a shifting play of appearances so that ordinary grasping relaxes and a joyful spaciousness appears.
