Verse 108Awareness

Emptying the Mind of Options

Bhairava

Here you let the mind become unsupported, like resting in open space. Instead of making plans, stories, or mental pictures, you simply stay open. In that openness, the boundary between “me” and the highest reality can fade.

विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् वनराधारं मन् कृत्वा विकल्पान्न विकल्पयेत् । तदात्मपरमात्मत्वे भैरवो मृगलोचने ॥ १०८ ॥

nirādhāraṃ manaḥ kṛtvā vikalpān na vikalpayet | tad ātma-paramātmatve bhairavo mṛgalocane || 108 ||

Translation

Having made the mind without support, one should not construct any further options or imaginations. O deer-eyed one, in that identity of Self and Supreme Self, there is Bhairava.

Withdraw the mind from all supports and conceptual constructions so that the identity of self and supreme self is directly recognized.
