Awakening at the End of Agitation
Bhairava
This verse says that after a strong inner movement settles down, something deeper can be directly tasted. It can happen when the mind becomes quiet, when effort runs out, or when awareness rests on simple supports. The image of “drinking Bhairava” means absorbing that state completely.
आधारेष्वथिाऽशक्त्याऽज्ञानावच्चित्तलयेन वा । जातशविसमावेशक्षोभान्ते भैरवं िपु् ॥ ११२ ॥
ādhāreṣv athaśaktyājñānāvac cittalayena vā | jātaśavi-samāveśa-kṣobhānte bhairavaṃ piba || 112 ||
Translation
Or in the supports, or through powerlessness and unknowing, or by dissolution of mind; at the end of the disturbance of the awakened power, one should drink Bhairava.
Enter Bhairava by letting mental activity dissolve after the surge of awakened power or by resting in the supports with no effort.
