Verse 2Dialogue
Inquiry into Bhairava's True Nature
Devi
Devi is saying, “I still don’t understand what you really are.” She asks whether Bhairava is some kind of reality made of sound, syllables, or energy. In simple terms, she wants to know what the deepest truth is behind appearances.
अद्यावप न निवृत्तो मे संशयः परमेश्वर । किं रूपं तत्त्वतो देि शब्दराशिकलामयम् ॥ २ ॥
adyāpi na nivṛtto me saṃśayaḥ parameśvara | kiṃ rūpaṃ tattvato deva śabdarāśikalāmayam || 2 ||
Translation
Even now, my doubt has not been dispelled, O Supreme Lord. What is your true form, O Deva, in reality—made of the mass of sound, syllables, and articulations?
Devi asks Bhairava to disclose his real nature beyond conceptual descriptions.
