Light as the Means of Recognition

This verse says that just as light reveals objects, consciousness reveals reality. You do not need to go looking for the truth outside yourself; the very power of awareness can show it to you. The practice is to notice that knowing itself is already present.
यथालोकेन दीपस्य वकरणैभाधस्करस्य च । ज्ञायते वदवविभागावद तद्वच्छक्त्या वशि् वप्रये ॥ २१ ॥
yathā lokena dīpasya vṛkaraṇair bhāskarasya ca | jñāyate vyavavibhāgāvat tadvat śaktyā vasi priyā || 21 ||
Translation
Just as by the lamp’s light and by the rays of the sun their distinctions are known, so, beloved, by śakti the distinctionless is known.
Use luminous awareness itself as the means by which non-separate reality is recognized.
