Verse 27Dissolution

Resting at the End of the Gap

Bhairava

This verse focuses on the moments when breathing changes—holding, exhaling, or just before a new breath begins. Those edge moments can become openings into stillness. The practice is to notice the quiet right at the transition and rest there.

कुवम्भता रेवचता िावप पूर्वता वा यदा भवेत् । तदन्ते शान्तनामासौ शक्त्या शान्त् प्रकाशते ॥ २७ ॥

kumbhitatā recakatā vāpi pūrvatā vā yadā bhavet | tad ante śāntanāmāsau śaktyā śāntaḥ prakāśate || 27 ||

Translation

When there is retention, exhalation, or the prior phase, at the end of that the one named Peace shines by śakti as peace.

Use the ends of breath phases as openings into peaceful, self-luminous awareness.
