Brow-Center Ascent
Bhairava
This verse asks you to gently lift your attention upward, as if looking toward the space above your eyebrows and then beyond the top of your head. The mind is then made quiet and spacious, like a forest with no one walking through it. In that openness, a deeper state can appear.
tāyā pūyādhaśu mūrdhāntaṃ bhaṅktvā bhṛkṣepa-setunā | vanavidhakalpaṃ man kṛtvā sirūrdhve sidhagodgam || 31 ||
Translation
Having broken through to the top of the head by the bridge of a glance upward at the brow, and making the mind like a thought-free forest, one rises into the upper channel and attains perfection.
Use an upward turn of attention to pierce the crown and let the mind expand beyond ordinary thought.
