Verse 43Space

Body as Ether

Bhairava

Instead of seeing your body as a problem to fix, imagine it as already whole and complete. Let your attention rest on the feeling of being here, without dividing yourself into parts or judging them. When you do this, your mind can become very open and spacious.

विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् वनजदेहे सिधवदक्कम् युगपद्भाियेवद्वयत् । वनविधकल्पमनास्तस्य वियत्सिधम् प्रितधते ॥ ४३ ॥

vijñānabhairava tantram | nija dehe siddhavad vatkaṃ yugapad bhāvayen dvayāt | nivikalpa manas tasya viyatsiddhaṃ pravartate || 43 ||

Translation

In one’s own body, as if it were already perfected and simultaneously nondual, one should contemplate it. For that person whose mind is free of conceptual construction, the perfection of the ether arises.

Contemplate the body as already perfected and spacious so that the mind settles into open, non-conceptual awareness.
