Verse 71Emotion
Joy Absorption in Bliss
Bhairava
If a wave of joy appears, do not just notice it and move on. Rest your attention on the joy itself, as if you are gently leaning into a warm light. By staying with it, the mind begins to merge with the feeling.
आनन्दे महवत प्राप्ते दृष्टे वा िान्धिे वचरात् । आनन्दमुद्गतम् ध्यात्वा तल्लयस्तन्मना भवेत् ॥ ७१ ॥
ānande mahati prāpte dṛṣṭe vā bandhīe vicārāt | ānandam udgataṃ dhyātvā tallayaḥ tanmanā bhavet || 71 ||
Translation
When great bliss has arisen, whether seen directly or through reflection, one should meditate on the bliss that has emerged; through absorption in that, the mind becomes identified with it.
Use an arising experience of bliss as the object of meditation so the mind dissolves into that bliss.
