Verse 91Sound
Attunement to the End of the Sound
Bhairava
Listen closely not only to a sound itself, but to the moment it disappears. At that tiny edge, let your mind become still and simply stay there. The teaching is that even a vanishing sound can open into a deeper silence.
विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् वर्णस्य सविसर्गस्य विसर्गान्तं चेतनं कुरु । निराधारेण चित्तेन स्पृशेद्ब्रह्म सनातनम् ॥ ९१ ॥
vijñānabhairava tant्रम् varṇasya savisargasya visargāntaṃ cetanaṃ kuru | nirādhāreṇa cittena spṛśed brahma sanātanam || 91 ||
Translation
Make consciousness rest on the end of a syllable together with its visarga; with a supportless mind, one should touch the eternal Brahman.
Use the fading edge of a sound as a doorway into supportless awareness of the eternal.
