Verse 93Body
Piercing the Body with Attention
Bhairava
This verse asks you to focus on a very small point in the body, almost as if touching it with a needle. The intensity of that narrow focus can steady the mind. From there, awareness becomes very clear and concentrated.
किंचिदङ्गम् विभिद्यादौ तीक्ष्णसूच्यावदना तत् । तथैव चेतनां युक्त्वा भैरवे निर्मला गतिः ॥ ९३ ॥
kiṃcid aṅgaṃ vibhidya ādyau tīkṣṇa-sūcyāvadānataḥ | tathaiva cetanāṃ yuktvā bhairave nirmalā gatiḥ || 93 ||
Translation
After first piercing some part of the body as if with a sharp needle, and in the same way joining consciousness [to that point], there is a pure movement into Bhairava.
Fix attention sharply on a tiny bodily point so consciousness can enter a clear, Bhairava-like state.
